Existing Conditions

Existing Conditions is an experimental cocktail bar focused on highly-technical methods of drink making in the West Village. The name “Existing Conditions” is an architectural term that refers to drawings made of a particular space before any changes are made.

In creating the logo, I drew inspiration from our surrounding existing conditions, New York City. I studied typography found in the subway and the intricate designs of manhole covers found on the street. I wanted the logo to feel familiar and iconic, providing a platform for the cocktails to shine.
